For making free calls to India from overseas, both Tuitalk and Evaphone provide a free trial service. Tuitalk.com offers 3 free calls of 2 minutes each per day and Evaphone offers 2 free calls of 25 – 26 seconds each per day. But Tuitalk can not be used to make calls if your call is originating from India. You can use tuitalk only to call Indian telephone numbers from other countries like US, UK, Canada Australia etc.

So, if you want to make a free call from India to other Indian phone numbers (landline or mobile), then you are left with only one option and that is Evaphone.

With tuitalk and evaphone, the things which you basically need are broadband, a computer or any such device which provides a platform. Apart from this you need a headset with microphone enabled for successfully making a call.

Evaphone allows you to make calls even without registering with them. So, just go to www.evaphone.com and dial the number. You will see an advertisement first and then the call will connect. When I last tried calling my mobile phone in India using Evaphone, it did not work! So I really doubt if this service works for real or not. Maybe it works sometimes! So, its still worth trying.

In order to use Tuitalk.com to make calls to India, first and foremost requirement is that you must not be in India itself. You must be in some foreign country to be able to call India for free. Next, unlike evaphone, you must register with tuitalk and download their Softphone and install it on your computer. Once you have done that all, you can dial 91 and the mobile or landline number you want to call. Thats it! Enjoy the free call to India!
